JD Hydrographics didn’t start in a corporate boardroom—it started in a garage with mates, messy hands, and a passion for customisation.
It all began as a hobby, hydro dipping RC car bodies with friends to see how far we could push the designs. We fell in love with the process: the crisp way a pattern wraps around complex curves, the endless creative possibilities, and the reactions when a finished body shell hit the dirt.
But as our skills grew, so did the size of the parts. What started on a miniature scale quickly evolved into a full-scale obsession. Before long, we moved from RC cars to prepping and dipping high-end parts for show cars, and eventually, customising and sealing complex bait boats for professional anglers.
Because this business is built purely on passion, I don't operate a rushed, factory assembly line. I have the luxury of treating every single job as a standalone project that demands perfection.
